The recent flood crisis in Delhi has forced a pause on Janhvi Kapoor's shooting schedule for her upcoming film, Ulajh. The rising water levels of the Yamuna River have reached unprecedented heights, rendering it unsafe to continue filming in the city.

Janhvi was originally set to arrive in Delhi on July 10 to commence shooting for the patriotic thriller. Ulajh tells the tale of a young Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer entangled in a personal conspiracy within a family of patriots. The initial plan included a 15-day shoot in Delhi.

A source close to the project explained that the entire team, including Janhvi, was to reach Delhi on June 10. But due to the rapid change in the situation caused by heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding, they had to postpone the shoot.

The source emphasised the urgency of the decision, considering the safety concerns resulting from the rain-induced flood crisis.

Insiders reveal that the filmmakers had planned to shoot in various locations across Delhi, including Old Delhi, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Lajpat Nagar Market, and South Delhi. Given the current circumstances, it has become impossible to proceed with the original plan.

However, the team has not yet decided to change the shooting location. Instead, they are planning to reschedule the shoot for mid-August, hoping to cover the intended locations in Delhi at that time.

The flood crisis in Delhi has disrupted the film industry's plans, affecting not only Janhvi's shoot but also posing challenges for the entire crew involved in the project. However, the safety and well-being of the team remain the top priority, and the filmmakers are determined to resume filming once the situation stabilises.

Until then, the wait continues as the cast and crew eagerly anticipate the moment when they can return to Delhi and bring Ulajh to life on the silver screen.
