Shoorveer character promo: Regina Cassandra as Flight Lieutenant Avantika Rao is a badass 'fighter'

The Kanishk Varma directorial, which also stars Makarand Deshpande and Manish Chaudhary, is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 15.

The highly anticipated military drama is all set to arrive on Disney+ Hotstar soon. The trailer of Hotstar specials Shoorveer created a huge buzz, meanwhile, the creators are now unveiling character promos of the lead actors. The latest video sees Regina Cassandra as Flight Lieutenant Avantika Rao.

The video begins by introducing the actress as Flight Lieutenant Avantika Rao, the topper of the year. One of her teammates gets awestruck by her aura and praises her. She can be seen flying a jet as well, while Manish Chaudhary as Ranjan Malik, a Special Forces Operative, says, "She is back." She can be seen advising Armaan Ralhan's Squadron Leader Viraj that there is a very thin line between self-confidence and arrogance. Moving on, the latter praises her and says, "Now I understand why your code name is a fighter, it suits you."

She further says, "Following rules is not such a bad thing."

Regina is prominently a Tamil and Telugu film actress, while she has been seen in multiple Hindi films and shows as well. She debuted in Hindi cinema with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga starring Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor. While the diva has recently been seen in SonyLIV's Rocket Boys alongside Ishwak Singh, Jim Sarbh and Saba Azad. Shoorveer marks her third Hindi project.

Regina shared the latest video on her Instagram handle with a special caption that reads, "A FIGHTER. A LEADER. A ROLE MODEL. Catch me as Flight Lieutenant Avantika Rao in the new #HotstarSpecials #Shoorveer - All episodes streaming from 15th July. #ShoorveerOnHotstar #BeTheVeer (sic).

The upcoming military drama series focuses on the life of the elite soldiers and chronicles the extraordinary tale of how all three forces including the Air Force, Army and Navy plan and work together to sabotage one of the biggest attacks from the enemy.

Shoorveer, which also stars Makarand Deshpande, Arif Zakaria, Anjali Barot, Kuldeep Sareen, Faisal Rashid, Sahil Mehta and Shivya Pathani in significant roles, is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 15.
