Shivarajkumar at 62: There are pending projects announced in 2022 as well as newer ones too in the actor's plate of projects
In the last few days, there’s been a lot of buzz around namma Hattrick hero Shivarajkumar’s July 12 birthday and all the announcements and updates that were coming the way of audiences. The actor’s got three in-production films, his home production Bhairathi Ranagal, Arjun Janya’s 45 and KRG Studios’ Uttarakaanda, so, updates from these were a given.
The week, though, began with Hemanth M Rao taking the lead and showing people what he’s got planned for their collaboration, which he’s called Bhairavana Kone PaaTa. MG Srinivas, who made last year’s Ghost has announced that his next with Shivanna will have them exploring the character Dalavaayi Muddanna, before a potential Ghost 2.
Director Nandakishore will direct the actor in a film called Shivagana that also stars Golden Star Ganesh, while Ravi Arasu has called his film Jawa (earlier RDX). Karthik Advaith’s #Shivanna131 will have the Century Star in yet another gangster flick, with the teaser hinting that his character, Deva, is the most violent of them all.
Apart from these relatively new projects, Shivarajkumar has a Tagaru sequel and Inspector Vikram sequel in his kitty. Filmmakers like Pavan Wadeyar, Dinakar Thoogudeepa, Lohith M, Kotresh Chapparadahalli, Tejasvi Nag, are among those who’ve been waiting in the wings for the actor to allot dates to their projects.
Shivarajkumar's next release, though, is Bhairathi Ranagal, which is the prequel and sequel to his character from Mufti. The film was planned to be an Independence Day release, but had to be pushed ahead. A September release has been promised, with the 26th said to be the most likely date.
