Shivani Rajashekar also plays a reel-life daughter to Rajashekar in Shekar

It's the first time that the father-daughter duo is sharing screen space in a film

Actor Rajashekar is gearing up for the release of his 91st film, Shekar soon. Shekar, a remake of the Malayalam hit Joseph, revolves around a retired cop, who after the death of his wife is dragged to a case involving organ trade. Jeevitha Rajashekar, besides penning the screenplay, has also directed the film. Lakshmi Bhupal has written the dialogues. The shoot of the film is complete and the post-production formalities are progressing at a brisk pace.

The makers of Shekar shared an interesting update about the film today. Actor Rajashekar's daughter Shivani Rajashekar will also play a reel-life daughter to her father in the investigative thriller. It's the first time that the two are coming together to share screen space and they are also among the first real-life father-daughter duos to be seen in an Indian film. The makers have revealed new stills from Shekar, featuring the two.

That's not all, Shivani is also one of the producers of Shekar along with her sibling Shivathmika Rajashekar, Beeram Sudhakara Reddy, and Boggaram Venkata Srinivas under Pegasus Cinecorp, Taurus Cinecorp, Sudhakar Impex IPL, and Tripura Creations. Muskaan Kubchandhani, Abhinav Gomatam, Kannada Kishore, Sameer, Bharani, Ravi Varma, Shravan Raghavendra too play crucial roles in the film.

Opening up on Shekar, Jeevitha Rajasekhar added, "The scenes between Rajasekhar and Shivani are sure to impress audiences and they are a natural on the screen. The scenes and their performances have come out well. We are happy with the response to the first glimpse and our single Love Gante. There'll be many aspects to keep a viewer engrossed in Shekar. We'll announce the release date shortly." Anup Rubens has scored the music and Mallikarjun Naragani is the cinematographer.
