The film will drop on the PRK Films YouTube page on December 10.
Back in April this year, actor and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 7 winner Shine Shetty had announced that he would be a part of a short film called Thank You, written and directed by Praveen Kanteerava. At the time, he had said that it would be a Kannada-Hindi bilingual, but it now seems that the team is looking at releasing it in all south languages, apart from the Hindi version.
Earlier this week, the trailer of the short film was released on late Puneeth Rajkumar’s label’s YouTube page, PRK Films, which ended with a message that the film itself would drop on December 10. The trailer shows a visibly agitated Shine, who is stuck in an elevator, and his desperate attempts to call for help.
The actor had earlier said that he took up the short film because he found the storyline interesting. But while he was impressed by the story, Shine was also thrilled that the project would allow him to collaborate with fellow Bigg Boss Kannada contestant and good friend, singer-composer Vasuki Vaibhav, who has composed the music for the short. The first look poster of Thank You were released by Rakshit Shetty and Rishab Shetty.
Meanwhile, the actor will also be seen in the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s last feature film, James, which is slated for a March 17 release, to coincide with the Power Star’s birth anniversary. He was also the host of the show Dance Dance, which had Hariprriya and Prajwal Devaraj as judges and just wound-up last weekend.
Currently, Shine is working on the Vijay Sankeshwar biopic, Vijayanand, in which he plays the antagonist. The film, by Rishika Sharma, has Nihal Rajput in the title role, and has Anant Nag, Ravichandran, Siri Ravikumar, Bharath Boppanna, etc. on board. The team has been shooting in the Hubballi-Dharwad belt, where Vijay Sankeshwar is from.
