The upcoming film about a father-daughter relationship is set to release on September 17.
Pratik Gandhi has been the talk of the tinsel town since his 2020 super hit web series Scam 1992. The actor has been occupied with multiple forthcoming projects, one of which is Amazon miniTV’s movie Shimmy. The film is based on a father-daughter relationship. Pratik plays the role of the father who is unable to understand what's been bothering his young daughter, played by Chahat Tewani.
The forthcoming film has been helmed by Disha Noyonika Rindani, who is popular for co-writing the Konkona Sensharma directorial 'A Death in the Gunj'. While Sikhya Entertainment is backing up this new project, the banner is famous for its finest productions such as Pagglait, The Lunchbox and Masaan.
Talking about the film, the CEO of Sikhya Entertainment Guneet Monga said in a recent statement that short format content is one of the most exciting ways to collaborate with fresh talent and it’s inspiring to see these kinds of stories come to life. “At Sikhya, we thoroughly enjoy discovering and empowering upcoming young filmmakers and technicians,” he added.
The Vitthal Teedi actor revealed Shimmy’s poster on his Instagram account and announced his new film. The latest post by the hero read, “My new film is here!
