Actress Shilpa Shetty appeared on the dating show Datebaazi as a special guest and she feels that the show captures the changing trends of dating, marriage and parent-children relationships in a very innovative way.
The show is hosted by celebrated television actor Rithvik Dhanjani where not only youngsters and their parents are participating in the show but also with interactive games, the audience is also getting a chance to watch the show actively and win some perks.
What sets it apart from other dating shows is the involvement of the parents of the two people on a date. Before a boy and girl meet, they have to meet and impress their perspective date's parents. And it is the parents who get to choose three dates (out of eight options) for their children.
As the involvement of the parents is crucial in any traditional Indian family, it is interesting how the participants of the show try hard to convince their parents to choose the person they want to date. Being the host of the show, Rithvik earlier said, "This is extremely amusing, because the question is if the parents know their children or do they just believe that they do? It's a lot of fun, which is what makes this show special."
After being the guest on the show, and sharing her experience, Shilpa said, "We have evolved a lot over the years... our choices, the trends we're seeing around the world, the way we approach our relationships, all of it."
She further added, "When I heard about the show, Datebaazi, I was quite intrigued by the concept of parents picking out a date for their children."
On her acting front, Shilpa will be seen in Rohit Shetty's cop acting web series Indian Police Force, alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi, and the series will be released on Prime Video.
The dating show Datebaazi is streaming on Amazon miniTV and on Fire TV.
