The trend of rehashed songs in Bollywood seems never-ending with the latest to be added to the list being Mann Bharryaa 2.0 from the film Sherhshaah. But we agree that it sets a perfect adieu song in the film based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra who fought and died in the Kargil War in 1999. The song, rendered and composed by B Praak, and penned by Jaani, was released today post the release of the film.

The emotional track portrays the journey of the Captain, sharing glimpses from two timelines simultaneously from the film. It starts with a scene where a huge crowd is gathered to pay their last respect to Captain Vikram Batra who is covered with tricolour. It follows with scenes from the past showing Sidharth Malhotra leaving for the war and Kiara Advani biding him adieu with wet eyes. The song takes the audience down memory lane with happy moments showing the Captain being awarded in the presence of his family. The music video ends with Kiara rushing to the cremation to see the war hero for one last time, but only finds his burning pyre.

Kiara shared the latest track on Instagram and captioned, “Keeping the ones we have lost close to our hearts. #MannBharryaa 2.0 song out now! Watch #ShershaahOnPrime out now, only on @primevideoin (sic).

The original song was helmed by the same artists but depicts the story of a woman struggling with her abusive husband. It's tragic and emotional too but Mann Bharryaa 2.0, on the other hand, is emotional too but makes us feel proud of our soldiers at the border who sacrifice their lives for the well-being of the country.

Sidharth also took the song to Instagram and wrote a heartfelt caption, “Remember the lost ones with a heart full of love and a soul full of gratitude. #MannBharryaa 2.0 song out now! Watch #ShershaahOnPrime out now, only on @primevideoin (sic).
