Sherlyn Chopra reported filmmaker Sajid Khan to the police Wednesday at the Juhu police station in Mumbai. The starlet is doing this to draw attention to a traumatic incident from 2005 in which she was abused.

A spokeswoman for Sherlyn told ETimes that they don't want to share the specific areas, but it falls under the category of upsetting a woman's modesty. They have also spoken about how he appeared on Bigg Boss 16 to clean up his image. Sherlyn Chopra has sent the police, the deputy commissioner, and the National Women's Commission a complaint.

Sohail Sharif, her lawyer, told what happened and said that Sherlyn had reported Sajid Khan to the police under several sections. She has already sent the complaint to the Juhu police station to file an FIR against him under Section 354 for upsetting a woman's modesty. One of Sherlyn's demands is Sajid's suspension from Bigg Boss. She has previously written to Union Minister Anurag Thakur. They will also send a notification to Colors TV asking them to stop airing Bigg Boss episodes wherever Sajid is present in a few days.

This is not the first time a female member of the film industry has voiced her disapproval of Sajid Khan's participation in Bigg Boss 16. Recently, Tanushree Dutta, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the #MeToo movement in India, voiced her opposition to the show's decision to rope in Sajid for the reality show.

Sajid Khan's participation in the reality show has drawn criticism from Ali Fazal and Sona Mohapatra, who have both called for his removal from the show. All of these celebrities have said that the claims of sexual misconduct made against Sajid during the #MeToo movement should be acknowledged and that he shouldn't be given the opportunity to appear on a public stage once more.
