Shefali Shah named Aamir Khan as her crush when she was in college
Shefali Shah has been in the limelight following the release of Jalsa, co-starring Vidhya Balan. The actor has now revealed that she had a huge crush on Aamir Khan back in the day.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor was asked who her crush was during her college days. Replying, she said, “Aamir Khan. I wrote him a letter. I sent a photograph of mine with a love letter and in the photograph, I was standing there but it was looking very nice because it was blurred. Far away I am standing, you can't make out anybody,”.
Shefali Shah made her acting debut with Khan in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rangeela in 1995. But the actor walked away from the role after a few days after filming, because the role was different to what she was briefed on.
Vidhya Balan also asked her co-star if the Dangal star knew she had a crush on him to which Shah said she doesn't know.
Shah and Balan’s film, Jalsa, started streaming on March 18. The thriller drama has received good reviews since its release.
“Talking about Shefali as Ruksana, the actor continues to let her eyes do the talking. A few scenes are so gut-wrenching that regardless of where she belongs, she keeps up with the world in the rightest way. Her scenes, especially with Vidya's on-screen son Ayush (Surya Kasibhatla), are heartbreaking to watch.” reads the film’s review on OTTplay.
Directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by T-Series, the movie is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
