Sheeba Chadha makes her German debut in THIS Netflix series

Actress Sheeba Chadha, known for her powerful performances in projects like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Bandish Bandits, is making her German debut with an upcoming Netflix series.

Sheeba Chadha, known for her acting mettle and diverse roles, from a millionaire NRI housewife (Maja Ma) to a middle-class household’s ill-fated paternal aunt who has been shunned by her husband and resides with her brother's family (Dum Laga Ke Haisha).

In which series is Sheeba Chadha making her German debut?

The actress is now all-set to make her German and International debut with the upcoming Netflix limited series The Signal, which was previously titled Hello. The Signal is a sci-fi mystery thriller limited series of 4 episodes, that is directed by Phillipp Leinemann and Sebastian Hilger. The show’ screenplay was developed by Nadine Gottmann, Kim Zimmerman, and actor Florian David Fitz, who also stars in a prominent role.

What is Sheeba Chadha’s role in the show?

Set to be released on March 7, 2024, the show will star Peri Baumeister as the protagonist, Astronaut Paula, while Fitz essays the role of her husband Sven and Yuna Bennett plays their daughter Charlie. As for Sheeba Chadha, she will be portraying the mysterious role of Benisha Mudhi in The Signal.

The show had dropped its trailer earlier today, which showed Sheeba Chadha as somebody in whom Paula had confided something she saw in space and was warned against disclosing it to anybody else.

The Signal’s trailer had also shown another glimpse of the Doctor G actress as she turned her face away, guilt and tension starkly evident. Fans and Indian viewers are sure to give this series a try, if not for the sci-fi thriller’s but for the underrated actress’ acting chops.

What is The Signal about?

The film’s trailer offers a thrilling view of The Signal’s plot. Paula is an astronaut, ready to return home from the International Space Station. However, her expectant husband Sven and daughter Charlie never get to pick her up as she vanishes on her way.
