Sharmila Tagore teams up with Rituparna Sengupta for Suman Ghosh’s next

Directed by Suman Ghosh, Puratawn will go on the floors by end of the year.

Sharmila Tagore takes her time to chose films. She began her journey on OTT with Gulmohar. Now, after years, the actress is all set to be back in a Bengali film. She will team up with Rituparna Sengupta for a new film, Puratawn. Directed by Suman Ghosh, the film will also feature Indraneil Sengupta. Rituparna’s Bhavna Aaj O Kal will produce the film.

Puratawn is an emotional mother daughter story around Mrs Sen (Sharmila Tagore), her daughter (Rituparna Sengupta) and her son-in- law played by Indranil Sengupta.

Sharmila Tagore will be back in Bengali film after 14 years. She was last seen in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Antaheen. Rituparna and Indraneil have recently worked together in Indrasis Acharya’s film.

Suman Ghosh is currently busy shooting Kabuliwala with Mithun Chakraborty, Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar.
