Just as viewers were starting to miss Shark Tank India after the wrap up of its first season recently, the makers swooped in with some exciting news. A special episode of the business reality show will air on SonyLIV on February 11 at 9 pm. A promo for the same was also unveiled and it gives viewers what all delightful things they have to look forward to.

The special episode will see a new host, with previous host Rannvijay Singha being replaced by comedian Abish Mathew. We get to see a lighter, more relaxed side of the sharks, which include SUGAR Cosmetics’ CEO, Vineeta Singh; Shaadi.com founder, Anupam Mittal; Emcure Pharmaceuticals executive director, Namita Thapar; boAt co-founder, Aman Gupta; and Lenskart CEO, Peyush Bansal. The host introduces the judges as ‘sharks with a heart’ and ‘cynical yet sweet’, as a clip of them criticising a few pitches plays.

Viewers also get to see the sharks poke fun at each other with witty quips. While Peyush makes jokes about Namita’s ‘it’s not my expertise’ catchphrase, and Aman mocking Anupam for how much he talks. When Abish poses the question of which shark is the easiest to convince, we see Vineeta dragging Aman into conversation, saying that contestants just need to say ‘I love you Aman’, and the latter gets impressed with them.

The business reality show, based on the international show of the same name, had become wildly popular with Indian audiences ever since it premiered last year in December. Other sharks who made appearances on the show include MamaEarth co-founder, Ghazal Alagh and BharatPe’s co-founder and managing director, Ashneer Grover.
