The amusing video featured a mashup of clips from Sony’s business reality show and Kumar’s 2006 film Phir Hera Pheri
The buzz that Shark Tank India has generated among Indian audiences is still going strong, even after the show wrapped up its first season earlier last month. One of the most delightful outcomes of the show came in the form of the plethora of memes based on the sharks’ comments. One social media user also joined in the fun by sharing a hilarious video, which featured a mashup of clips from the reality show along with scenes from Akshay Kumar’s 2006 film, Phir Hera Pheri.
The edit shows Kumar’s character from the film, named Raju, who comes onto the Shark Tank stage with his business pitch. He propositions a ‘scheme which guarantees to double the sharks’ money in just 25 days’. For this Kumar asks for Rs 70 lakh as an investment initially, and what follows is a hilarious back and forth between him and the sharks.
Vineeta Singh is seen questioning the ‘contestant’ on what he will do with such a huge sum. While Ashneer Grover calls it a ‘dhanda’ or a dubious scheme, Aman Gupta comes to Kumar’s rescue by saying that it is a ‘business’. When Kumar immediately changes his ‘ask’ to Rs 30 lakh, Gupta calls him ‘confused’ and Grover says his now popular ‘kya kar raha hai tu’ dialogue. Namita Thapar, meanwhile, says she is out as she cannot understand the deal and Mittal also signals his exit.

Phir Hera Pheri is the sequel to the 2000 film, Hera Pheri and it can be streamed on Netflix as well as Amazon Prime Video. Shark Tank India is available on SonyLIV.
