The businessman also talked about the lessons he earnt from Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Ghazal Alagh and Anupam Mittal.
Shark Tank India had several lessons to impart for up and coming entrepreneurs in the country. But it seems the contestants and viewers were not the only ones to get important takeaways from the show and sharks. Peyush Bansal seems to have learnt a thing or two from his fellow sharks on the show as well.
In conversation with Rohan Joshi and Tanmay Bhat, Peyush, the co-founder and CEO of Lenskart, opened up about the many lessons he imbibed from watching his fellow sharks work, including BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover. Peyush revealed that one of the best things he liked about Ashneer was his ability to understand whether or not an idea has the potential to be built into a business . “I also think that some of the businesses he has built, like BharatPe, came from simple, but revolutionary ideas,” said the Lenskart CEO. Peyush also said that he liked using the product as well, giving it credit for its simple user interface.
BUt Peyush was not done yet, and went to talk about all he learnt from the other sharks as well. From boAt CMO and co-founder Aman Gupta, Peyush said he learnt how to be stress free, enjoy oneself and still build and scale a business. Peyush credited Namita Thapar, the executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, for the organised, structured and disciplined way she carried on a business, adding that the way she works was ‘phenomenal’.
Peyush said that he considered SUGAR Cosmetics CEO and co-founder Vineeta Singh to be one of the smartest sharks in the tank, crediting her ability to do quick math. He also added that she had a very deep knowledge about her area of business- cosmetics. Peyush also said that he appreciated MamaEarth co-founder Ghazal Alagh’s ‘doing good on purpose’ motto, and Shaadi.com founder and CEO Anupam Mittal’s communication skills as well. Peyush also praised Anupam’s level of patience and assessment.
