The business reality show saw a whole spectrum of product pitches, but the technology-based ones really stood out from the rest of the pack, promising to usher in a new era of high-tech solutions that could provide answers to a lot of issues facing the country today. While some of them even proved that social and scientific progress could also go hand in hand, others sought to make everyday life a bit more convenient for people.

Aas Vidyalaya
Aas Vidyalaya or Anytime Anywhere School seeks to provide the country’s first schooling service that is completely online. It also seeks to enhance accessibility of education to students who are unable to physically attend classes and provides classes through their app, which students can access any time during the day. Following a wide range of curriculums, Aas Vidyalaya offers tutoring in Mathematics, Science, Hindi, English, Social Science, Sanskrit, Computers, and Marathi subjects. Peyush Bansal, Ashneer Grover and Namita Thapar invested in the company for a 15% share in its equity.
Aliste Technologies
Aliste Technologies’ Shark Tank pitch highlighted the company’s goal to provide innovative home automation solutions that are inexpensive as well. All electronic devices in a household could be automated through the products offered by the company, allowing users to control them remotely as well. Automated switchboard,voice assistants, smart Lock, Motion Sensors, Touch Panel, CCTV Camera, smart gates, etc are some innovative features offered by them through which basic household electronics such as fans, ACs and ovens.
Thinkerbell Labs
A startup dedicated to enhance inclusivity and accessibility in education, Thinkerbell Labs is the company behind a groundbreaking tool for the visually impaired, called Annie. Annie is a device that helps a visually impaired person learn how to learn to read, write and type braille by themselves. The device also features a companion app through which teachers are able to track the progress made by students who are learning braille, and offer guidance and support. Among the important customers of the same are the state governments of Telangana, Chattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. The Bangalore based start-up was founded by students of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
Booz Scooters
Based in Ahmedabad, Booz Scooters is a start-up that provides rentals of electric kick-start scooters with the purpose of making commutes easier for its customers in an energy efficient way. The company offers its services via its app and rentals are available in a wide range of busy premises such as business parks, commercial and residential premises, public parks and resorts and many more. On Shark Tank, the company received an investment offer by Vineeta Singh & Ashneer Grover for a stake of 50%.
RoadBounce
This start-up seeks to address a problem that has been plaguing vehicle owners in India for a very long time. RoadBounce informs users of the conditions of roads they are to travel through their road monitoring app. It has different scales that provide users with different parameters related to the road they want to know about, and also offer then video and photographic references as well. The Pune-based company has some important clients in the form of the Pune traffic police and the Madhya Pradesh Road Transport Corporation.
