The Shark Tank India has witnessed some very interesting ideas of entrepreneurs and their business models. One of them is the public restroom product Peeschute. In a new episode, the sharks Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh and Peyush Bansal are seen listening to the pitch of Peeschute.

In one of the recent videos shared by the makers, the entrepreneur is seen making a compelling pitch about his pocket-sized and unisex urinal bag to the sharks. He seems confident about his product as he gives a demo of how it can be used and further talks about his paid pilot that he conducted in four countries including the UK, US and Canada and made sales of worth Rs 42 lakh during that phase. He says he foresees making a sale of Rs 1 crore this year when asked about it by Aman.

He requests for Rs 75 lakh for 4 per cent equity in the company. He presents the samples to the sharks and talks about the privacy chambers, which he plans to install at the bus stands and other public spaces. When Namita asks him about the installation cost of these chambers, she gets shocked to learn that each chamber would only cost about Rs 3,000. After a long and serious discussion, the sharks start making their offers. But Namita is seen backing out, citing the reason that the product is still under the process for a patent.

Ashneer suggests the entrepreneur to focus on one aspect and not get distracted. He then makes an offer of Rs 75 lakh for 7 per cent equity. But the entrepreneur was keener to get Aman Gupta on board as he wanted expertise in marketing communication to help further with the branding. Ashneer tries to convince him saying to think twice before he locks the deal with Aman as he also believes that finance people do better branding than marketing. Namita quickly responds laughing that marketing people also do distribution and sampling. Aman makes the offer of 75 lakh for 10 per cent but the entrepreneur does not get convinced. He makes the counteroffer of 6 per cent for the same amount and Aman agrees and closes the deal.

Shark Tank India is the official adaptation of the US show Shark Tank. It is hosted by Rannvijay Singh. Season 1 of the show will have its finale on February 4. The show is available to stream on SonyLIV.
