Shark Tank India has fast become one of the most talked about shows in the country, owing to memes, viral videos and more. The show, which is the Indian version of Shark Tank also features Anupam Mittal as one of the sharks.
Reported by Hindustan times, talking about the fame and changes following the release of Shark Tank India, Mittal, the CEO and founder of Shaadi.com said, “The interesting thing is that it isn't even Shark Tank's Anupam Mittal. When I go to the gym, boys just shout 'shark, shark!' Ab toh bas shark hi identity ho gayi hai (Now shark is my identity)."
Mittal also said that he is not complaining about this and is enjoying the phase and that it is great for the brand and he is enjoying it even if it is a bit weird.
He also added that there is a concern regarding this new attention saying that he wonders if people will still give this attention and celebration after next week, when the show comes to an end.
The show has young entrepreneurs pitch ideas to a panel of successful entrepreneurs or ‘sharks’, who will invest in the idea if they think it can have a great future. The show airs on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 9 pm and is also available to stream on Sony LIV.
Apart from Mittal, Ashneer Grover, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar and Ghazal Alagh are the other ‘sharks’ in Shark Tank India.
