Shark Tank India has taken the Indian reality TV landscape by storm ever since it first aired.

One of the sharks Anupam Mittal, CEO of People Group (behind businesses like Shaadi.com) took to LinkedIn and shared data on how the show helped budding entrepreneurs kickstart their ventures.

Mittal wrote that Shark Tank India has helped "change the entrepreneurial landscape forever" in the country. He noted that out of the 198 pitches on the show, 67 start-ups were able to secure funding. Further, 29 had at least one female co-founder and 45 businesses included a founder below the age of 25.

Mittal said that he has "committed 5.4 Crs in 24 Cos, 70% are led by Youngpreneurs, 50% by Womenpreneurs & 30% in companies founded by Couples & Familes (sic)."

Namita Thapar, CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals also shared stats via Twitter. She mentioned the amount that she had invested in a total of 25 pitches that appealed to her.

The first season of Shark Tank India, hosted by Rannvijay Singha, consisted of 30 episodes that began airing in December on Sony TV and Sony LIV. The finale was broadcast on February 4.

The "sharks" were successful entrepreneurs MD and co-founder of BharatPe Ashneer Grover, co-Founder and CMO of boAt Aman Gupta, CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics Vineeta Singh, co-Founder and CIO of Mamaearth Ghazal Alagh, founder and CEO of Lenskart Peyush Bansal along with Thapar and Mittal.
