Additionally, as many as six new Sharks have joined the panel this season. Together, these 12 Sharks generate multiple news headlines. This evening, a promo of the upcoming episodes of the show was released. Here is what you can expect.
For the unfamiliar, investors on the panel are referred to as Sharks.
The latest promotional video of Shark Tank India Season 3 shows the presence of Anirban Palit and Sayantani Pramanik - two entrepreneurs and founders of Cervicheck - who are on a mission to simplify access to cervical cancer screenings.
During the pitch, Namita Thapar – who herself runs a pharmaceutical company, appeared quite impressed with the products offered by the company. “These (products) are brilliant! The ease of use of these products is wow. Hats off!”
Amit Jain, too, appreciated the pitchers. However, Aman Gupta did not appear impressed with the company. “Normally, people will prefer to pay a visit to the doctor instead of determining whether they have cancer or not by making use of these products. Such products can have a lot of false positives and false negatives, right?” said Aman to the pitchers.
The pitchers responded, “Yes, you are right. Thus, this is the reason why we are also developing screening tests at various locations.”
Amit Jain told the pitchers, “I can see you all have an innovative mind. These products can have a large impact.” Aman Gupta, however, did not seem convinced by the pitchers’ answer. He said, “I don’t think you can foresee the problems that can arise in this business.”
Only time will tell whether the pitchers secured a deal on the show or not.
