If the deal goes through it would make history on Shark Tank India.
Shark Tank India’s stage has witnessed a number of memorable deals which have made an impact on the minds of viewers. Be it the founders who asked for just Rs 101 from the sharks, or the ask of Rs 300 crore that was declared the ‘biggest ask in shark tank history’; the tank has seen some bizarre offers indeed. There have also been quite a few instances of the founders being so loved that the sharks were willing to fight tooth and nail to secure a deal. And it seems that a pitch on the upcoming episode of the show will see yet another historic offer.
A promo for Friday’s episode of the show, shared by Sony TV, shows Lenskart CEO and co-founder Peyush Bansal in the lead for securing a deal with an entrepreneur. An enthusiastic Peyush says that he will make them an offer. Although they had come to the tank with an ask for Rs 50 lakhs, Peyush was willing to offer them amounts ranging from Rs 1-2 crores. boAt CMO and co-founder Aman Gupta remarks that this is the first time an open offer has been made in the history of Shark Tank India. Peyush goes so far as to even offer the pitcher a blank cheque, saying that they can fill in the desired amount.
The promo was captioned “First time ever on Shark Tank India! A business gets open offers from the Sharks?”
