Anupam Mittal slams a pitcher about how his idea is nothing more than a copy of several already available products in the market.
Anupam Mittal, a Shark Tank India 2 judge, criticised the founders of a children's learning app for being proud of their creation although it was nothing more than a replica of an app developed in the US. Sourav and Gunjan Gupta promoted their kid-friendly apps in the reality show's episode from Tuesday under the name Gunjan Apps Studios. They claimed to be over the moon when they first realised what they had accomplished with their app. " It was our Eureka moment", Sourav remarked, "Humne socha, humne kuch fodd diya hai."
Anupam Mittal informed the pitchers that they had just copied an app from the US and were offering it for free. "Sourav, it appears like you think you have created something groundbreaking from the way you are pitching your apps," he remarked. Do you know about ABC Mouse? The US uses this software a lot. You've stolen that app's idea and given it away for free. Have you heard of Kidopia, another app like this one? Do you know about the Appy store? You have created a similar thing." Anupam asked the pitcher to meet him outside and that he would show him the games his 5-year-old daughter plays on Kidopia, a platform that resembles his software, when the pitcher tried to claim that his app was not copied.
The sharks made no deal offers to Sourav or Gunjan. Vineeta and Namita stated that they do not want to spend money on anything that will enhance children's screen usage. Aman withdrew his offer as he thought that the pitchers were not paranoid about the competition.
Shark Tank India is a reality show that provides a platform to business owners seeking funding and guidance from more seasoned business owners. The show steams on both Sony TV and SonyLIV.
