Shark Tank 3 is the reason startups and entrepreneurs became household terms in India. Since its Indian premier in 2020, the show has inspired awareness and motivation among Indian viewers of all age. The show returned for a second season in 2022 and was a real hit among fans, barring the exit of shark Ashneer Grover, the Founder and Managing Director of Bharat Pe.
Release date, OTT partner, and promo
The new season of Shark Tank has recently dropped its promo and revealed the release date of the show. The third season will feature 12 sharks, ready to analyze, prick and prod startups to see which ones are worthy of support and guidance. Shark Tank 3 will stream on SonyLiv from January 22.
A brief look at the 12 sharks of Shark Tank 3
Shark Tank Season 3 will be hosted by Rahul Dua and its 12 sharks shall comprise of 6 OG sharks reprising their positions, while a fresh set of 6 join them on the journey. Among the returning judges is Amit Jain, the CEO and Co-Founder of CarDekho group, who has a reported net worth of $360 million (₹ 2900 crore).
He is joined by Anupam Mittal, CEO and Founder of Shaadi.com, who has a net worth of ₹185 crore and Aman Gupta, CMO and Co-Founder of boAt, who has a net worth of ₹700 crore. Sugar Cosmetics CEO and Co-Founder Vineeta Singh, who has a net worth of ₹300 crore, will also return as a shark.
Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Namita Thapar (whose net worth is around ₹600 crore), and Peyush Bansal, CEO cum Co-Founder of Lenskart.com (whose net worth is $75 million) also reprise their positions at the shark table.
Among the six new sharks this season is Deepinder Goyal, CEO and Founder of Zomato, with a net worth of ₹2030 crore. He also has a degree in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Delhi. Ritesh Agarwal, another new shark, is a self-made billionaire at the age of 24 and as of 2020, has a net worth of $1.1 billion, or ₹7253 crore.
The only new female shark in the group, Radhika Gupta has a net worth of ₹41 crore. She is the CEO and MD of Edelweiss Mutual Fund and one of the most prominent figures of the Indian financial industry.

New shark Azhar Iqbal, the CEO and Co-Founder of Inshorts, dropped out of IIT Delhi while studying Mathematics and Computer Science. But it was his hard work and vision that has given him an estimated net worth of ₹500 crore at the age of 31.
Actor-producer Ronnie Screwvala is also the Chairperson and Co-Founder of UpGrad, and has both exceptional films to his name along with the tag of one of the richest producers of India, with a net worth of ₹12,800 crore, as of 2022. He makes an iconic addition to the sharks' judgement table.
Varun Dua, who is the CEO and Founder of Acko, had a humble beginning as a Marketing Manager at Tata AIG Life Insurance. His years of experience there helped him create Acko in 2016 and is sure to help the Shark Tank 3 contestants develop their own.
