Inspiring the host to join in with his charming and humorous renditions, Maan will perform Punjabi folk music, adding an extra sparkle to the festivities. The question asked for Mahadevan by an audience member was, "You have a song Kajra Re that has become a party anthem, loved by everyone. I would love for you to sing it for us. Also, what was going through your mind when you were writing this song?"

The singer-composer responded by saying that the success of this song was the outcome of a group effort. Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy had a minor role, but the person sitting next to me—Amitabh Bachchan—made the most significant contribution. He continues by stating that Big B came up with the first melody, known as jugalbandi in the lyrics, during their studio sessions for this song. After recording a preliminary vocal version of the tune, Mahadevan informed the veteran actor of his progress. He told Bachchan that this was just a test run for his voiceover, and they will bring in a vocalist later to refine it. 'Which singer is coming?' the legendary star enquired.

Mahadevan declared that whoever it is, they will sing it. Bachchan responded that, "Khabardaar," no one else could match this, as Mahadevan's voice would perfectly complement it. The best present the musician could have received for this song was that moment when Bachchan blessed him with it.
