In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Piyush opened up about his latest OTT series Matsya Kaand, and further insights on working with Bollywood.

Piyush, who has written dialogues as well as poetry for Shamshera is worried that he won't be featured in the same. ‘Koi karwata nahi hei, man pareshan rahta hai,’ he said. He also added that his poetry in the film is about a Kabaili tribal rebel who revolted against the British empire during the 19th century.

When asked about his latest project Matsya Kaand he explained it to be a revenge drama in which he plays the role of a guru. The series is based on the chapters of the epic book Ramayana, which is called ‘kaand’, and Matsya is one of them, said him. Expressing more about the character, he told the guru he plays is an old player in crime’s world, who teaches his disciple the art of disguise. He also added that the series, which has been created with a lot of effort, will be streamed on MX Player from November 18.
