Shalini Pandey recalls backlash to Arjun Reddy — 'I've no opinion on how people took it, we are all...'
Shalini Pandey has recalled how her film Arjun Reddy received massive backlash upon its release. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film is Animal.

Shalini Pandey made her acting debut with the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. She shared screen space with Vijay Deverakonda in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film. When the film was released in 2017, the makers received massive backlash for certain scenes in the movie. Ahead of Vanga's upcoming film Animal, Shalini recalled how Arjun Reddy got some negative reactions despite being a successful movie.

In an interview with News 18, Shalini Pandey reacted to the fact that she still gets questioned about doing Arjun Reddy.
"I was 21 when I signed the film. For me, it was bigger than anything else. I was acting in a film, being paid for it and it was my first step towards becoming an actor. It was like a dream. Nothing else mattered to me at that point," she said.

Although the film received some negative reactions, Arjun Reddy will always be 'dear and special' to Shalini. "It gave me so much and I couldn’t have imagined that. It’s my baby. But I’ve no opinions on how people took it. We’re all evolving. Everybody has their own opinion and has the right to speak about a film in the way they want to," she added.
Shalini Pandey's Bollywood debut
After doing several Tamil and Telugu films, Shalini made her Bollywood debut with Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The actress worked with Ranveer Singh in the film. Unfortunately, the YRF movie didn't work well at the box office.
Having said that, the actress' upcoming movie is Maharaja. She is likely to share screen space with Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, in the movie.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming movie
Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming directorial is Animal. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. It also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. The movie has been scheduled for a theatrical release on December 1, 2023.
