Waah Bhai Waah - Shailesh Lodha.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s lead character Taarak Mehta is being replaced after many years of working on the show. Shailesh Lodha, who played Taarak Mehta for years at a stretch, has decided to leave the show and join a new one. This new show is from Shemaroo.

Shailesh, who is a poet by profession, will be back to doing that. He will be seen in the Shemaroo original show, Waah Bhai Waah.

Shemaroo made the big announcement on social media. Shailesh is heard saying in a video shared by them that he will be coming soon on the platform with Waah Bhai Waah.

Waah Bhai Waah is touted to be a mix of poetry, comedy and satire on current topics. Shailesh will host the show along with three other poets.

The Shemaroo original show is expected to release in June. Shailesh has already stopped shooting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and started shooting for the show.

Shailesh is the latest to be replaced on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Characters like Jethalal and Dayaben’s son Tapu, Sodhi and his wife, Taarak’s wife Anjali, Dr. Hathi, Bhide’s daughter Sonu and Rita Reporter have been replaced over the years.

If the latest reports are to be believed, then even Jethalal’s crush Babita ji, played by Munmun Dutta, might quit the show. She has reportedly been offered Bigg Boss OTT and to take up that opportunity, she might have to leave this show.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running TV shows in India. The show began by taking inspiration from late columnist Taarak Mehta’s column, Duniya Ne Undha Chasma (the world and its opposing viewpoints). Owing to the immense popularity of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi decided to continue with the show and so, it crosses milestones and continues to air on TV and stream on Sony LIV.
