The latest report suggests that Shahid Kapoor, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Sajid Nadiadwala joined hands for an upcoming action thriller.

Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj previously collaborated on the big screen with Kaminey in 2009 and Haider in 2014. Both films did amazing at the box office. Now, a recent report suggests that producer Sajid Nadiadwala is bringing back Shahid and Vishal for an action-packed thriller. Notably, this will be the first-ever action film of Bhardwaj's career.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Sajid Nadiadwala, Shahid Kapoor, and Vishal Bhardwaj joined hands for an action thriller.

“Vishal Bhardwaj has developed the first action film of his career and the maker is planning to mount it on a big scale. It’s a mission-based action thriller and Sajid Nadiadwala is excited to bring it to the spectacle in the biggest possible way," revealed the source. As per the report, Sajid and Vishal believe that Shahid Kapoor is the best fit for the role and they are looking to create 6 massive action set pieces for the yet untitled feature film.

The source further added that Shahid Kapoor was impressed by the narration of this action thriller, and was 'surprised' to see so much action in the script.

It also mentioned that Shahid has the 'utmost respect' for Vishal and Sajid, and He was into the film the moment he heard the narration. Notably, the actor is looking to begin the journey with Vishal and Sajid in September or October 2024 and it will be shot extensively in India and the US.

Speaking more about the project, the above-mentioned portal further added that Shahid, Vishal, and Sajid are all excited to present a completely new story to the audience. The source mentioned that this film is 'made for today’s audience, treated very differently from all that’s made till date.'

While the makers are looking to cast an A-List actor as the female lead, the pre-production work has begun and the film will hit the big screen in 2025.

Apart from this, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Deva co-starring Pooja Hegde. The action-entertainer directed by Rosshan Andrrews is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 14, 2025.
