Shahid Kapoor recently announced his new project, Ashwatthama - The Saga Continues. The movie is going to be directed by Sachin B Ravi and will be bankrolled by Pooja Entertainment . A few days after the film's official announcement, Shahid reportedly commenced his movie prep. According to a media report, Shahid has been reading a lot of ancient texts and modern interpretations to explore the depths of Ashwatthama's legend.

As per a Mid-Day report, Shahid Kapoor is also undergoing physical prep for his character in Sachin Ravi's Ashwatthama - The Saga Continues. "Recognising the need for agility and strength for the complex stunts required in the high-octane action sequences, Shahid has dedicated himself to intensive workouts and martial arts training," a source told the tabloid. The source further mentioned that Shahid has been mastering intricate fight choreography and honing his reflexes.

For the uninitiated, this film was announced at Amazon Prime Video's mega event held last month. Ashwatthama - The Saga Continues will drop on the OTT platform after its theatrical release.

The official plotline of the film reads, "As the mystery of a legendary figure thrust into the chaos of the present day unravels, the film explores the inner psyche of an immortal being, revealing how he perceives the world he has witnessed for thousands of years." The movie will delve deep into the legend of the immortal warrior Ashwatthama from Mahabharata.

Shahid Kapoor's projects in 2024

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor had one theatrical release in 2024 so far. The actor was seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Kriti Sanon. Although it opened to mixed reviews, the film fared well at the box office. Interestingly, this Shahid Kapoor movie has also premiered on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical release.
