Dil Raju is a star producer in Tollywood. He made his Hindi debut with the Shahid Kapoor film Jersey, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film flopped at the box office, but Dil Raju ended up in a safe zone as he sold the post-theatrical rights to the film for a massive price.
We at OTTplay have learned that Dil Raju is all set to team up with Shahid yet again. The news is that Dil Raju will produce a biggie with Shahid, and Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally will direct this film.
Going into details, Dil Raju and Vamsi Paidipally narrated a script to Shahid a few days ago, and the news is that he loved the story narrated by Vamsi Paidipally and gave the nod to the film right away. The word is that this project will go on floors by the end of this year once Shahid Kapoor wraps up his current projects.
As of now, he is shooting for his new film Deva, which is being produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor. Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in this biggie. Apart from this Shahid also has the second season of Farzi that will be directed by Raj and DK.
On the other hand, Vamsi Paidipally last directed Varisu with Vijay which ended as a flop in Telugu. The film was also produced by Dil Raju and once again, he has chosen Vamsi Paidipally to direct his new film in Hindi cinema. The script work is done, and the pre-production is on as of now.
Dil Raju's last film, Family Star, was in the news as it ended as a flop. The star producer has seen massive losses with the film and the news is that he has also agreed to pay a few distributors their money back. But all this has not stopped Dil Raju from making more movies, and this time, it will be one more biggie with Shahid Kapoor.
