After Haider and Rangoon, Shahid Kapoor recently reunited with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for a film. The actor will be seen alongside Triptii Dimri in Bhardwaj's action thriller. The movie, featuring Shahid and Triptii, is expected to go on floors in December this year. Before that, Shahid and Tritptii reportedly started the prep for Vishal's film. According to a Mid-Day report, Shahid's character is that of a gangster, modelled on Hussain Ustara.

Shahid Kapoor undergoes combat training?

Shahid Kapoor has reportedly commenced combat training for Vishal Bhardwaj's action thriller. The actor is apparently undergoing 'intense combat training' to match the demand of action sequences. "Equally important is understanding the mental make-up of a character like Ustara. Vishal sir, who is reuniting with the actor seven years after Rangoon [2017], has been guiding him as he delves deep into Ustara’s motivations, emotions, and mental battles," a source told the tabloid.

The report further suggests that Ustara had a layered personality, defined by his 'ruthless exterior' but driven by personal does of 'loyalty and honour'. As for Triptii Dimri, the actress' character also hinges on revenge. As of now, Shahid and his co-star are prepping individually. They will begin joint prep close to the film's shoot.

Sajid Nadiadwala to produce Shahid, Triptii's film

On September 13, producer Sajid Nadiadwala officially announced his next project with Vishal Bhardwaj, Shahid Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri. The announcement was made from Nadiadwala Grandson's official X handle.

"I'm thrilled to join forces with the genius director, my dear friend VishalBhardwaj , and the phenomenal powerhouse shahidkapoor ! Delighted to welcome the incredibly gifted tripti_dimri23 to the NGEFamily! - Love SajidNadiadwala (sic)," a tweet by NGE Movies read.
