Co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Pathaan is the fourth instalment in YRF’s spy universe
Shah Rukh Khan movies all come with a lot of fanfare around it but the excitement around his next titled Pathaan is massive. With the actor returning to the big screens after a hiatus of four years, the movie’s director has now told the fans exactly what he has in store for them.
“It is a very special birthday for me this year as I’m working on one of the most special films of my career, Pathaan. I’m living and breathing Pathaan every moment of my life and I want to give audiences an experience that is spectacular and like no other,” director Siddharth Anand said, as reported by Times of India.
The director also said that he is thrilled for the positive response to all the announcements regarding the movie since its launch, including the announcement video, and both Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone’s first looks. He added that they are fortunate that it was all loved by the audience and that what they think and feel is of utmost importance.
Apart from Shah Rukh, the movie also has Deepika and John Abraham in the leading roles with a reported cameo by Salman Khan. The spy action thriller is a part of Yash Raj Film’s spy universe, which currently has Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and War (2019).
The movie also marks the fourth collaboration between Shah Rukh and Deepika. The duo were spotted filming for Pathaan in Spain last month and the leaked photos went viral on social media.
Shah Rukh was last seen in Zero, which hit theatres in 2018. The actor has now returned to work and also has Jawaan directed by Atlee Kumar and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the works.
