Last night, Shah Rukh Khan made a mention of TUDUM fest while promoting his film, Jawan, on Netflix. Since then, rumours have been rife that Shah Rukh Khan might make an appearance in The Archies.
Suhana Khan and Shah Rukh Khan to work together in The Archies?
Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating his 58th birthday today! On this occasion, the global superstar treated his fans by dropping his latest theatrical, Jawan, on Netflix. In the announcement video of this development, Shah Rukh told Netflix India, ‘Jawan ko Netflix pe release kardo, varna tumhare TUDUM ka main bana dunga budum’. Soon after this sentence was spoken by the star, many internet users wondered whether Shah Rukh would be having a cameo in The Archies.
The Archies, for the unfamiliar, was promoted at Netflix’s global fan fest – TUDUM – in Brazil on June 18. The entire cast of The Archies – including Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, was present at the fan fest.
Shah Rukh Khan to be a part of The Archies?
Sources close to the development told HT City recently that Shah Rukh Khan “wanted to be part of the project in some way, due to which he has a special connection to it.” While the detail of his role remains a mystery, the source mentioned, “He has either a cameo appearance or he is onboard as a narrator in the web film.”
Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and his team have not informed the cast of The Archies about it as they want to keep it a “surprise”. Only filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and the other makers of the film have a brief knowledge about it. “The whole team is hush-hush about his involvement, as they want to keep it a surprise. That being said, it will definitely be a special one for him and his fans,” the source said.
