Shah Rukh and Siddharth are teaming up again on King, two years after they collaborated on Pathaan. Rumour has it that Siddharth is preparing to helm SRK's next film, following their 2023 smash hit Pathaan.

Speaking about this, a source informed Pinkvilla that Shah Rukh and Siddharth are preparing for a reunion in King making them one of the most anticipated pairings in Hindi cinema history. The filmmaker and his crew have been diligently at work on this action-packed entertainer for the past six months, conducting reconnaissance missions all around the world and collaborating with stunt directors of international renown to create groundbreaking action sequences. In March of 2025, King will officially begin shooting.

King stars Shah Rukh as the title character with Suhana Khan serving as the story's major trigger and Abhishek Bachchan playing the villain. Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix are the producers of the film. The source also told the entertainment portal that in the script of King every actor has a fantastic arc and gets their solo moments. Assisting Siddharth Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya with the screenplay is none other than Sujoy Ghosh. An insider has revealed that they have roped in Abbas Tyrewala as the film's dialogue writer. The source also revealed that King will boast action sequences that rival the best in international cinema. The action sequence is the most intense ever written for a Hindi film. SRK and Sid have visited numerous untapped locales in their quest to film action sequences for King, which they intend to shoot in different parts of the world.

King also signifies the return of Abbas Tyrewala, Sid, and SRK following Pathaan. With the King script shaping up, the superstar and filmmaker are thrilled and will film by March 2025. Worldwide preparations are underway over the next six to seven months, and the film's creators have pledged to release it in theatres in 2026. According to the source, King will have an impressive scale similar to Pathaan which will be a delight for moviegoers.

The producers have cast SRK, Abhishek, and Suhana in pivotal roles, and they are currently in negotiations with a leading lady to play Khan's romantic interest. The source claims they will soon announce the casting of an A-list leading lady to co-star with the superstar.
