Shah Rukh Khan's next film with Rajkumar Hirani is reportedly set to go on floors in March. For the same, the makers are all set to replicate a village from Punjab in Mumbai's Filmcity. SRK is likely to start shooting for the Hirani film after wrapping up Siddharth Anand's Pathan.

A source told Pinkvilla that pre-production work for the Rajkumar Hirani directorial is already on. The source revealed that a large set replicating a village from Punjab is being erected at Mumbai's Filmcity Studios. The source adds that major chunks of the movie will be shot there.

However, since it is a Shah Rukh Khan film, it is nearly impossible that foreign locations do not come into play. For the movie, SRK and Hirani will reportedly shoot in London and Budapest too.

The film reportedly also stars Taapsee Pannu. The actress hinted at the same while talking to India Today. "I will scream and announce the film from rooftops when it's finalized. I am that excited!," she had said.

Rajkumar Hirani had taken a break from direction for a long time. He last helmed Sanju, a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, for which the director faced a lot of wrath. Hirani was also accused of #MeToo which also set his career aback.

Shah Rukh Khan is also coming back to acting after a long time. He was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's Zero, which released in 2018. Now, the actor has three projects - Pathan, Hirani's next and Atlee's untitled film.
