Shah Rukh Khan on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): I get inspired by our matches, but sometimes really depressed

Shah Rukh Khan spoke at length about how he feels when KKR loses a match in the IPL.

Shah Rukh Khan is a part owner of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and he often goes to games to cheer on his team. He never openly admits it, but he does feel horrible and occasionally even tears up when his team loses a game. In a recent interview, Shah Rukh acknowledged how, in 2014, when a portion of the league was shifted to the UAE, he and his children, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, sobbed in the hotel room as KKR lost a string of games.

However, after the competition moved to India, KKR won every game and went on to overcome Kings XI Punjab to win the IPL 2014 championship. Shah Rukh went on to say that when the competition moved to India, all of the young players began to perform admirably. One by one, they all began to play better. Life is like this, and his reactions to KKR bouts leave him feeling usually motivated and occasionally depressed.

Shah Rukh acknowledged the fact that losing matches hurts, no matter how philosophical you get afterward. He said that no matter what one says, one still feels horrible when their team loses. Even though one might argue that life is this way or that, losing a game is never enjoyable.

SRK spoke extensively about his four-year break from the movie business in the same interview. After Zero failed, he said he didn't plan to take a year off, but he had to because of many things, including the coronavirus outbreak.

The actor remarked, when asked what he did during the coronavirus-caused statewide lockdown, that he learned to cook Italian food. Shah Rukh claimed that he makes fantastic Italian food, particularly pizza. The superstar had a lot of quality time with his children. He also had very strong physical fitness due to my extensive housework.

The actor jokingly said that he now had a backup business plan in case he ever failed as an actor. He can open Pathaan Catering, Baazigar Bakery, and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge Sweets Shop if he ever has to run any other business.

On January 25, 2023, Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie Pathaan will be released in theatres. John Abraham and Deepika Padukone are also featured in the movie.
