Is Shah Rukh Khan's next move a potential collaboration with Stree team? Here's what we know
Shah Rukh Khan is considering a non-action film as part of his lineup, amidst the upcoming action-packed flicks King and Pathaan 2.

Pathaan Jawan, and Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan's three 2023 films, grossed a combined total of about Rs 2500 crore over the world. Since then, there has been a lot of talk about SRK's upcoming feature projects. Recent months have seen reports of two action-packed extravaganzas, King (directed by Sujoy Ghosh and starring Siddharth Anand) and Pathaan 2 (produced by YRF Spy Universe). Reports now suggest that SRK intends to lock three films prior to King.
Shah Rukh Khan meets with Stree 2 team
According to Pinkvilla, the superstar is interested in securing another feature film, ideally in a genre other than action, and is currently reading other scripts. Rumour has it that Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan are in discussions with SRK over a high-budget adventure picture. King Khan has met with nearly every director in the past six months and listened to their suggestions for his next project. Nothing, however, piqued his interest. According to an insider, Shah Rukh is currently in negotiations with the Stree 2 team, which includes Kaushik and Vijan.

The source further told the entertainment portal that the duo is investigating the potential of a partnership and has a high-budget adventure film in the works for SRK. This would herald a new era, distinct from the one in the Stree universe. After two or three meetings, the superstar has not yet made a decision. The makers anticipate that after further negotiations in the coming months, he will decide on whether or not to do the film. Apart from the Maddock Film, SRK is also in regular contact with Raj & DK regarding their comedy action thriller. He feels a connection to the theme and would like to collaborate on a film with them, with certain tweaks made to the plot holes. In addition to the adventure feature and the comedy action thriller, he is now in discussions with Southern producers about action flicks, but nothing is official.
Filming plans for King and Pathaan 2
In contrast to Chopra's goal of having Pathaan 2 hit floors by the end of 2025 or early 2026, King is set to kick off shooting in January 2025 and wrap up in the middle of that year. While SRK has solidified his filming plans for King and Pathaan 2 he is contemplating embarking on a contemporary commercial film to fill the gap between these two exciting projects. The insider adds that by the year's end, he will likely make a decision regarding Amar Kaushik, Raj & DK, or another project.
Chopra reportedly secured the director for Pathaan 2 a massive Spy Universe saga tentpole, by February or March of 2025. Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala will have completed the script by that point.
