Ever since Chris Martin posed at the iconic Marine Drive in Mumbai and Dakota Johnson joined him, the headlines have been dominated by their presence and the Coldplay concert they are here for. From battling online queues with lakhs of fans for tickets to creating memories on Instagram stories, the excitement has been palpable. Adding to the frenzy, the concert now features a Shah Rukh Khan touch, reminiscent of Dua Lipa’s iconic moment during her visit. This time, Chris Martin gave King Khan a shoutout, and Shah Rukh has responded.

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan’s global appeal knows no bounds. In 2019, Dua Lipa created a buzz when her Mumbai concert included the Levitating X Woh Ladki Mashup. Now, Coldplay has added another unforgettable moment by giving a heartfelt shoutout to Shah Rukh Khan during their Mumbai concert. During the performance, Chris Martin exclaimed, "Shah Rukh Khan Forever, Go!" This set the crowd ablaze with cheers and flashing lights, with fans capturing the viral moment on video. The clip reached Shah Rukh Khan, who responded with love.

On social media, Shah Rukh Khan shared a video with the words "Chris Martin Forever & Ever" written over it. In the caption, King Khan expressed his gratitude, writing: "Look at the stars…look how they shine for you…and everything you do! My brother Chris Martin, you make me feel special…like your songs! Love you and a big hug to your team. You are one in a billion, my friend. India loves you, @coldplay!!"

Interestingly, Coldplay’s connection with Shah Rukh Khan goes back to 2016 when they performed at the Global Citizen Festival in India. After the concert, Chris Martin and the band were invited to a party at SRK’s Mumbai residence, Mannat.

Currently, Coldplay is in India with their Music of the Spheres World Tour. After performing at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, the band will hold two more shows at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and January 26. With Chris Martin, the band also features guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, and manager Phil Harvey.
