Director Nikkhil Advani, known for directing Shah Rukh Khan in Kal Ho Na Ho was first an assistant director to Karan Johar on multiple movies. One of these was, of course, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which starred an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and others. Advani, in a conversation on Cyrus Says, revealed how Shah Rukh Khan was disappointed with his helicopter entry initially.
He recalled, "When we told him that his entry in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is with the helicopter, he thought he was going to jump off the helicopter, while he just had to step down. The scene was more about Jaya Bachchan; she gets to know about the arrival of her son as soon as he touches the ground."
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is streaming on Netflix. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
