Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan to kick-start shooting for Sujoy Ghosh's thriller King in May 2024

Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan are collaborating on an action thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to team up with his daughter, Suhana Khan for the first time on the screens. The action-packed thriller, which is directed by Sujoy Ghosh will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment with Siddharth Anand's Marflix Entertainment. Now, there's an update from the film, which is tentatively titled King. This SRK-Suhana film will go on floors in May this year.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that director Sujoy and Siddharth Anand have been in touch with King Khan and The Archies' star with multiple meetings for quite some time now. The report read, "Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh have been constantly in touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan with multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy is meticulously working on the script with Sid and SRK. Designing world-class action sequences rests fully on Siddharth."

The report by the portal also reveals that Suhana is receiving training at Mannat which is at times attended by Shah Rukh Khan. "The training is happening at Mannat and she (Suhana) is accompanied by her father, Shah Rukh Khan too in certain practice sessions. Trainers of international repute are coming together to train Suhana and SRK, as King will explore a slightly raw form of action," the source added.

According to the source, Sujoy has begun auditioning for the ensemble cast to start in May 2024 and make it the high-profile film from SRK in 2025.

We are very excited for SRK to work with his daughter, who recently made her Netflix debut in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. It would be interesting to see King Khan again on screen, especially after his three consecutive hits, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. His daughter joining the cast further adds to the excitement of the film.

Speaking about the plot of the film, a source earlier told Pinkvilla that the flavor of Shah Rukh Khan will be very different from what the actor has done in Pathaan and Jawan. The film will showcase a lot of chase scenes with a central plot, that will be emotional.
