India is celebrating its 77th Independence Day today by engaging in many patriotic and cultural activities. From changing social media profile pictures to ‘tiranga’ to hoisting the National Flag of India at homes, localities, and cities, every countryman is infused with the fervour of patriotism.

Today, Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating the day with full energy and zest. On X (formerly known as Twitter) today, the 57-year-old megastar shared a glimpse of their celebrations. In the glimpses, Shah Rukh Khan can be spotted hoisting the national flag in the presence of his family and close friends. In this glimpse, Shah Rukh Khan put the title track of his patriotic movie 'Swades'.

In another picture, Shah Rukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri Khan and their son AbRam, can be spotted standing tall with pride. All three of them donned white attire for the special day.

Captioning the precious moments with family, Shah Rukh Khan wrote on Twitter, "Now the little one has made it a tradition. Hoisting of our beloved tricolour and wishing everyone a happy Independence Day. Love to all, and may our country, India, prosper and all of us with it."

Interestingly, today's Google Doodle celebrates India's Independence Day, which is celebrated every year on August 15.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 77th Independence Day.

On this special day, the honourable Prime Minister said, "My dear 140 crore family members, we are the world's largest democracy, and now many people are of the opinion that we are number one in faith even from the point of view of population. Such a huge country—140 crore countrymen, my brothers and sisters, and my family members—are celebrating the festival of Independence today. I extend many best wishes to crores of people in the country and the world who love India, respect India, and are proud of India on this great holy festival of Independence."
