Even though it has been said that the fate and destiny of every Bollywood actor changes with each passing Friday, there are a few actors who have made their positions superstring in Bollywood. These superstars include Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and a few others. Besides entertaining the audiences with their stellar performances in films, these actors also give their nod to become the face of brands.

Speaking of brands, the trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn were the brand ambassadors of a leading brand of tobacco-based product, which garnered huge backlash for them. The update on that front is that, the trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have now been served notices for their collaboration with tobacco ad companies.

As per a report in India Today, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have now been served notices for their collaboration with tobacco ad companies. The report stated that the said notices had been issued by the Allahabad court to actors in connection with commercials they do for gutka/ tobacco companies.

In this regard, advocate Motilal Yadav had filed a petition in which he spoke about the issues concerning the alleged participation of celebrities, especially the ones who happen to be 'Padma Awardees', in commercials or endorsements of certain products or items that are harmful to the health of the general public at large.

The report also mentioned that a petition has now been filed in Allahabad High Court’s Lucknow bench against the celebrities for their ‘participation’ in the tobacco commercials. Speaking of Lucknow bench of Allahabad Court, it has been reported that, SB Pandey (Deputy Solicitor General) has informed the Lucknow bench of Allahabad Court that CCPA (Central Consumer Protection Authority) has now issued notices to actors Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ajay Devgn for their collaboration with the tobacco companies on October 20. He has also reportedly asked the court to dismiss the said petition as the concerned matter is also being simultaneously heard by the Supreme Court.

As per the reports available, it is being said that the next hearing on the said matter has been decided for May 9, 2024.
