24 years have passed since Josh's release. The film brought two big stars together for the first time, only to play siblings on the big screen. Yes, we're referring to Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who portrayed the on-screen twins Max and Shirley prior to the release of Mohabbatein a romantic drama, in the same year. It was one of the rare films earlier in Bollywood where Goa served as the backdrop. As Josh clocks 24 years since its release, you can catch up with the film, which is streaming on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium).

Mansoor Khan's role in creating Josh

Mansoor Khan both wrote and directed the 2000 romantic action film Josh. Among the other stars are Chandrachur Singh and Sharad Kapoor, who played brothers in the film. Goa served as the setting and shooting location for Josh, a film primarily in Hindi with some Konkani dialogue. Some of the film's plot points are based on those in the 1961 musical West Side Story. The film's events unfold in 1980 among real estate deals and communal bloodshed in Goa.
