Shabaash Mithu star Taapsee Pannu on trailer response: It’s extremely encouraging

The trailer for Taapsee Pannu's forthcoming sports biopic film, Shabaash Mithu has been making waves in the industry.
Everyone in the entertainment business is thrilled about the trailer. Her co-star Aayushmann Khurana, Dia Mirza, Bhumi Pednekar, and many more complimented the trailer. The promo video received admiration also from former cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly.
Taapsee says it's encouraging to see the kind of response that she has been getting for the trailer. The actress released a statement, saying, “It’s extremely encouraging, people have been texting and calling me to tell me how much they liked the trailer. This is a film I really believe in and I’m glad the trailer has hit a chord with the audience.”
The actress continues to explain how enthusiastic she is and how much she is looking forward to the film's release since it is really valuable to her.
Speaking about the trailer, Viacom 18 Studio COO, Ajit Andhare remarked that the film has impacted people's emotions and is a positive indicator for the movie.
He further adds, "As a studio, we have always created stories with meaning, stories that go beyond just the 150-odd minutes spent in a theatre and stay with the audience for years to come. The trailer is just a glimpse of this conviction; there is much to unfold as we delve into this unheard story of our women in blue.”
Srijit Mukherji directed the film, which is produced by Viacom18 Studios. It also features Vijay Raaz. Shabaash Mithu will be released in theatres on July 15.
