Samantha is busy promoting her forthcoming project Shaakuntalam which will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi on April 14. The fantasy flick directed by Gunasekhar has her paired opposite Mollywood actor Dev Mohan. The film marks her first outing in 2023.
Amid participating in media interactions and giving interviews, speculation started doing the rounds that she commented on Naga Chaitanya's relationship status. After the duo parted ways in 2021, they were never spotted together. The former couple also ensured that they never spoke about each other since then.
It is heard that the Yashoda star spoke briefly about the importance of staying committed in a relationship and is said to have ignored a question about Chaitanya dating an actress. Samantha is also said to have pointed out that she is least interested in knowing who is dating whom.
The news appeared in a leading portal and fans were curious on what led Sam to open up about the topic. However, she took to Twitter to clarify that she has never spoken about these anywhere. The actress garnered widespread support on social media after she issued this clarification.
Samantha will next be seen in Kushi in which she has shared screen space with Vijay Deverakonda for the first time. Last seen in Vignesh Shivan's multi-starrer film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal in Kollywood, her Tamil fans are eagerly waiting to know which project she is going to sign next.
There were reports of her being part of Thalapathy 67 before the project was officially titled Leo. But Trisha came on board later, putting an end to all speculation.
