Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming project, Shaakuntalam is one of the most anticipated movies that is getting ready for its release for the fans. Amidst the fanfare for the movie, the producer has now revealed an interesting update.

Talking to her followers on Instagram, producer Neelima Guna shared information about the first look of the movie. One of the fans asked the producer for an update about the first look poster of the movie for which she answered, “Very soon”.

"We have plans to release a series of updates. We can't wait to show off Samantha's first look from the movie," she wrote.

She also revealed that the movie will be getting ready for its official release soon this year and that they are also planning to release the first single from the magnum opus.

Bankrolled by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the banners of Gunaa Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions respectively, the mythological drama is based on Kalidasa’s popular play Shakuntala.

Directed by Gunasekhar, the movie also stars Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla and Allu Arjun’s six-year-old daughter, Allu Arha, among others in supporting roles.

On the technical side, the movie has music by ace music composer Mani Sharma, while the cinematography and editing are by Sekhar V. Joseph and Prawin Pudi respectively.

Samantha, who was last seen in Jaanu and in a special guest appearance in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise also has Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Yashoda, in the works.
