Arun Matheswaran's Saani Kaayidham has been in the news since the time the project went on floors. The movie, which marks filmmaker Selvaraghavan's acting debut, has Keerthy Suresh, too, playing a pivotal role in it. The project, which is billed as a violent thriller, is based on a few true incidents which happened in Tamil Nadu in the 1980s.
The film went on floors earlier this year and was wrapped up a few months ago. Selva had taken to Twitter to post a picture of him dubbing for the movie a while ago which had gone viral.
There has been speculation on Saani Kaayidham having a direct release on Amazon Prime Video. The latest on it is that the much-awaited film will start streaming on the platform from February. An official announcement on the same is awaited from the makers, though.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for the movie which has editing and cinematography by Nagooran and Yamini Yagnamurthy respectively. An excited Selva had earlier thanked the film's cast and crew for the experience he had and went on to add that he learnt a lot while working for the project.
Meanwhile, the acclaimed filmmaker will be seen playing one of the antagonists in Nelson's Vijay-starrer Beast. Sources say that he is essaying the role of a politician in the action thriller. He is also busy directing Naane Varuven in which Dhanush is playing the lead.
On the other hand, Keerthy Suresh, who was seen in the recent Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe has big budget projects like Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea and Sarkaru Vaari Paata in Mollywood and Tollywood respectively in her kitty.
