The upcoming film, which is the Hindi remake of Prithviraj's Driving Licence, is directed by Raj Mehta and bankrolled by Dharma Productions
Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha have joined Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi on their upcoming film, Selfiee. The exciting update was announced by Kumar on his official social media handles.
Kumar posted a reel featuring him with his co-stars Penty, Bharuccha and Hashmi. The group is seen holding files with the upcoming film’s name on them and grooving to the film’s theme song, only stopping in between to click a hilarious selfie. Part of the caption of the post read, “With @nushrrattbharuccha and @dianapenty joining in, the #Selfiee squad is in full gear! Whatsay @therealemraan , ho jaye muqabla?”

Selfiee was announced earlier this year and the film went on floors this month. The film is directed by Raj Mehta, and marks his second collaboration with Kumar after the 2019 film, Good Newwz. Sefliee also marks Kumar’s first on-screen collaboration with Hashmi. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kumar’s Cape of Good Films and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames are bankrolling the film. The film went on floors this month.
The upcoming film is the Bollywood remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Driving Licence. The comedy drama film revolves around the story of a popular superstar who is in desperate need of a driver’s licence and is helped in acquiring the same by his ardent fan, a motor vehicle inspector. Directed by Lal Jr. the film featured Prithviraj, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Miya George, Deepti Sati, Saiju Kurup, Suresh Krishna, Lalu Alex and Major Ravi. In Selfiee, Kumar will essay the role, portrayed by Prithviraj, while Hashmi will play Venjaramoodu’s character.
