Selfie release date: When and where to watch this thriller starring GV Prakash, Gautham Menon online

Selfie, directed by debutant Mathi Maaran, was released in theatres on April 1. GV Prakash plays the lead in the film which has Gautham Menon essaying a crucial role in it. Varsha Bollamma plays the female lead in the thriller which has Sangili Murugan, Subramaniam Shiva, Vidya Pradeep and Thangadurai, too, essaying important roles.

It's been just 12 days since the movie has arrived in theatres, but the team has already announced its OTT release. No other Tamil film has had such a small window between OTT and theatrical release in recent times.

What's Selfie about?

The film revolves around a notorious gang of people who run an illegal college admission broker. How the entry of a depressed engineering student into their group leads to conflict forms the crux of the story.

The film which is based on a few real incidents opened to mixed response among viewers and critics. The performance of GV Prakash and the true depiction of education scam prevailing in our society were appreciated by a few, though.

When and where to watch Selfie online?

The movie will drop on aha Tamil on April 14. GV Prakash took to his Twitter page to announce the news. He tweeted, "A project that led me to my most stimulating #ahaMoment. The movie that uncovered the biggest scams in education. Very proud to announce #SelfieOnAHA. Premieres 14th April on @ahatamil (sic)."

GV himself has composed music for the project which was distributed by leading producer Kalaippuli S Thanu in theatres. Vishnu Rangasamy and Elayaraja have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film. Rambo Vimal has choreographed stunt scenes while AR Mohan has helmed art direction for the movie.
