John Abraham has begun shooting for Tara vs Bilal. The movie is produced by his company JA Entertainment. Directed by Samar Iqbal, it stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonia Rathee in the lead roles.

John shared the clapperboard from day 1 of the shooting of the movie. Harshvardhan and Sonia began shooting with scene 21 of Tara vs Bilal on their first day.

Tara vs Bilal is also produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series along with TVB Films. Meanwhile, Amarjeet Singh is the DOP in the movie.

While this is the first time that John has backed a film starring Harshvardhan Rane, it is not their first meet-up. Harshvardhan and John had interacted even before the former entered the film industry. He had delivered a helmet to John back in 2004. Since then, Harshvardhan has considered John his mentor. The actor also shares an interest in biking. He had earlier sold his bike and its accessories to raise funds for oxygen supply during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

John had, in fact, insisted to cast Harshvardhan in Tara vs Bilal. He had told Pinkvilla, "I suggested Harsh as he has the perfect balance to be a serious player in the action genre. He will blow everyone away."

Harshvardhan was last seen in Haseen Dillruba. The actor is loved for his roles in Sanam Teri Kasam and Taish. He has also worked in the uber-popular TV show Left Right Left.

Sonia Rathee, on the other hand, recently made her debut in the industry with Broken But Beautiful 3. The show featured Sidharth Shukla as the lead actor in the Zee5 series.

Apart from Harshvardhan and Sonia, Angira Dhar's name was also associated with the project. Whether she is still part of the film, is yet to be unveiled. The release date of the film is also yet to be finalised.
